行運一條龍 Lunar New Year Celebration

 

Join us for a celebration for the Year of the Dragon and feel the new year vibe right here in New Malden!

Activities in the theme of the LNY include: 🎶 Chinese Music Performance by The Museed, 👧👦Children Choir Performance led by Miss Carol, 🖼️ Drawing Exhibition by Mr. Nelson’s class, 🎨 Art and Craft, 🖌️ Fai Chun Writing, 🐉 Chinese Zodiac Booth, 💫 Kids Tattoo.

Of course, the New Year celebration is not complete without a taste of New Year cakes, and some fun with 🀄 Mahjong games (played without money). What’s more, a ☯️ fengshui master will join us on the site for some advice on what the Year of the Tiger has in store for you!

 

The event will also support small business run by Hongkongers, featuring:

Aulaw Organic Farm UK

Vegecoopia (botanical crafts)

Arkisan (Painting、Post Card、Red Pocket Envelope、Fai Chun)

Duck Lin Company (Dried Seafood)

Shalom Heung Gong (HK-style bakery such as egg tart)

Tapio Kart (HK-style snacks such as sticky rice pudding, fish balls, milk tea)

Tseng Meng Niu Taiwanese Beef Noodles Soup

 

The event will also feature a series of New Year-themed workshops conducted by HongKongers. Watch this space for more details later.

 

Event Date: 17 February, 2024 (Sat)

Time: 11:30 – 16:00

Venue: Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School, Chestnut Grove, New Malden, KT3 3JU

Entrance fee: £1 per adult (half price for children under 12 and elderly)

 

Remarks:

1) New Year cakes and snacks will be offered while supplies last, from 11:30am except during performances (12:25 – 13:15).

2) Please bring your own tableware

3) Workshop attendees still need to sign up and pay separate entrance fees

4) Games including mahjong will commence after choir performance i.e. 13:30-16:00

5) Choir performance will be started from 12:25pm, all participants are expected to arrive at noon.

6) Smoking, drinking and gambling are strictly prohibited in the venue.

7) Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate.

8) Parents need to supervise and take care of children's safety.

9) Please take care of your personal belongings.  If there is any loss, it will be difficult to follow up after the event.

10) We does not charge any venue rent from the stall owners, and the stall owners are solely responsible for shopping transactions.

發發發！年初八約定大家聚一聚，當日會有The MuSeed中樂表演、Miss Carol 及小朋友唱賀年歌、Nelson Sir 學生新年畫作展覽、賀年及幸運手工製作、寫揮春、十二生肖、賀年食品分享、小朋友Tattoo、當然重有新年必備鋤大D、魚蝦蟹及打麻雀交流活動(不涉及任何金錢)……. 今年我地請咗一位玄學師傅贈大家兩句添，希望大家行運一條龍。

另外我哋同場有不同收費工作坊，包括大吉大利蠟燭工作坊、賀年番梘工作坊、年畫等。全部由香港人教授。參加了工作坊嘅街坊如果想參加行運一條龍聚會是需要再購買入場券，報名詳情稍後再公布。

1) 賀年食品(糕點為主) 數量有限，先到先得，供應時間由11:30開始，表演時段(12:00-12:50) 將暫停供應以尊重所有表演者，希望大家見諒。

3) 參加了工作坊嘅街坊需要再購買入場券。

4) 鋤大D、打麻雀、魚蝦蟹將在中樂及小朋友唱歌表演後才開始(13:00-16:00) 。

5) 所有表演將在12:00pm開始，希望大家12點前到達支持香港人表演者。

6) 場內嚴禁吸煙、飲酒和賭博。

7) 兒童須有成人陪同方可參加。

8) 家長請小心看管及照顧兒童安全。

9) 請自行看管財物，如有遺失，活動過後恕難跟進。

10) 大會並無收取檔主任何場租，購物交易由檔主自行負責。
