Lion Dance Class @St Luke's 醒獅隊訓練班
The class will be given by an experienced and award-winning instructor from Hong Kong and open to all interested in Kingston. Upon completion of 10 lessons, students will master the basic lion dance skills and be able to give performances at school events and social activities.

Dates: 7, 14 Jan, 4, 11, 18, 25 Feb, 4, 11, 18 & 25 Mar 2023 (10 Saturday lessons)
Time: 2:35 - 4:00pm
Fee: £120 for 10 lessons
Lion dance is a form of traditional performance art in East Asia and common in Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, etc. Performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune. Lion dance combines Chinese martial arts with acrobatics and is commonly accompanied by the music of beating of drums, cymbals, and gongs. It is a most popular performance during festivals and celebrations.
