Kingston Lion Dance Class 醒獅隊招募學員

Lion dance is a form of traditional performance art in East Asia. Performers mimic a lion's movements in a lion costume to bring good luck and fortune.  While lion dance is common in mainland China, Japan, the Korean Peninsula, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Ryukyu, lion dances are in different forms in different places. which Lion dance combines Chinese martial arts with acrobatics and is commonly accompanied by the music of beating of drums, cymbals, and gongs. 

Now comes an exciting opportunity to learn lion dance! An award-winning instructor from Hong Kong will introduce a beginner course for children aged 6 or above.  Upon completion, students will master the basic lion dance skills and be invited to public performances (details to be confirmed) in Lunar New Year celebrations. 

Dates: 12 Nov 2022 to 14 Jan 2023 (Every Saturday, except 24 and 31 Dec 2022)

Time: 2:30-4:00pm

Fee: £144 /8 lessons

舞獅是一種東亞民間傳統表演藝術，於中國大陸、日本、朝鮮半島、香港、澳門、台灣、馬來西亞、新加坡、越南、琉球都可以揾到到。然而，各地獅子嘅樣貌，皆是對獅子形態宛然不同嘅藝術詮譯。

第一批學員上了兩堂，已有醒獅基本認知，及對鼓樂開始有一定掌握。到了英國，我們要靠下一代承傳香港文化，介紹給本地人知道，亦希望令他們認識醒獅可以一齊玩。

如小朋友完成8堂課程後，學員已掌握基本醒獅技巧，將獲安排參加公開演出（商議中演出包括船塢區倫敦博物館農曆新年活動，詳情待定）

逢星期六上課日期：

2022年12月3,10及17日

2023年1月7及14日

時間：下午2:30-4:00

活動對像 ：6歲 或以

課程優惠如下:

如在10月30日或之前報名可以優惠每堂£15，8堂共£120送1堂 (11月５日星期六 下午2:30-4:00在同一地點上課)。

如在10月30日後報名便要以正價每堂£18，8堂共£144。

如想試堂，大家可報名10月22或29日課堂，每堂£18。

注意事項 : 此乃短期課程，所以如果小朋友需要請假，我們將不能安排補課，敬請原諒。
